Who is South Limburg Reachable?

Zuid-Limburg Bereikbaar (ZLB) is a regional cooperation organization dedicated to sustainable mobility and improved accessibility in South Limburg. In cooperation with sixteen municipalities, the Province of Limburg and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, ZLB stimulates different and smarter travel for residents and commuters. An important pillar in this is bicycle stimulation.

Within ZLB, Louise Lohmeier is project coordinator for bicycle encouragement, education approach and transit route. "My work is fundamentally about behavioral change," she explains. "How do we get people - despite a hilly landscape and (sometimes still) free parking - out of their cars and onto their bikes? To that end, we develop public campaigns and support materials for municipalities, schools and employers. Those parties play a key role in getting our message out."

The challenge: fragmented, error-prone and no longer allowed

Until recently, ZLB distributed its campaign content through links to downloadable files on its own website. Municipalities, educational institutions and employers received a link to the material by e-mail. "But since our new website, that changed," says Louise. "Because of security and privacy, we are no longer allowed to offer downloads through the website. The alternative became WeTransfer - and that was really super inconvenient."

The consequences? No central overview, error-prone processes, duplicate versions in circulation, and little insight into who was using what. "We were constantly fixing things. That no longer suited our ambition and scale," Louise said. "We desperately needed a central, future-proof solution."

The solution: one media bank, fully customized

That solution came in the form of a media bank from Comrads: a Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform in which Louise's team centrally manages and shares all of its campaign content. "The media bank is user-friendly, clear and completely in our corporate style," Louise says. "We can easily add new content and filter by target group or type of material. That gives peace of mind and confidence."

"We had to find our way for a while, but since Laura, our Comrads account manager, hooked up things have been going quickly and smoothly," says Louise. The media database gives Louise and her team the control needed for effective communication. "Before, we often got questions like, 'Is this the right file?' Now there is one place where everything is right," Louise says. "That makes our work less error-prone and much more efficient."

In addition, external stakeholders perceive the media database as clear and professional. "It is not only easier for us, but also more pleasant for the people who work with it."

What could be better?

Although the basis is solid, Louise sees room for improvement: "We want more insight into the use of the media bank - who downloads what? This will allow us to approach and activate municipalities in a more targeted way. Now we sometimes miss the connection, even though the system is there."
